Guide to the Papers of DeWayne Lundgren 1942-1945

DeWayne Lundgren, a Brooklyn, New York resident, was a private in the United States Army, serving in the 830th Signal Service Company during World War Two. After training in Fort Monmouth, NJ, he was posted to Africa and England 1943 - 1945. This collection contains approximately 232 letters from DeWayne to his girlfriend, Bertha Doktor, plus newsletters from Africa, The Stars and Stripes clippings, and a few of Bertha's letters to DeWayne.

Guide to the Papers of Lawrence Winston1938-1945

Lawrence Winston was an African American United States Navy sailor who served aboard the USS Mugford and the USS General M.M. Patrick during World War II. The USS Mugford, a destroyer, was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the attack on December 7, 1941. This collection contains approximately three hundred and fifty letters written by Lawrence Winston to his wife Cecelia Winston, including forty V-mails.

Guide to the Papers of David Span 1936-1945 (bulk 1943)

David Span was a Jewish American who served with the Army Air Force during World War II. This collection contains approximately one hundred and thirty three letters, most of which are written by David Span to his parents, Joseph Span and Jennie Span, and to his brother, Murray Span, who was serving in the United States Army. There are also letters from Murray Span to their parents, as well as several letters to Murray from friends of his who were also serving in various branches of the Armed Forces.

Guide to the John Ericsson Collection 1831-1893 (bulk 1862-1888)

The collection includes correspondence and other materials detailing Ericsson's design and testing of iron-clad and torpedo-armed ships for the US and other navies, including Monitor and Destroyer, as well as his writings on other areas of interest.
